9/11 Freelance post

9/11 was a day I was not born yet to experience. Watching historical footage is all I have seen but most of it captures the dread of that day. I'm sure the millions of Americans watching at home felt a sense of foreboding but being in New York City or even Brooklyn must have been something other worldly. The world must have been ending for the people of New York. The atrocities that occurred on that day affected everyone in the area. Even if you knew no one who worked in or around the World Trade Center, it still affected everyone.  It affected your friends, your family, your coworkers. The entire State of New York and every American felt a communal grief.
